Fans don't hang out in crowds and have parties together... as you described in this thread or what Wikipedia has.

Anyone that does that is a fanatic...

A "Fan" buys their music and listens to it, enjoys it, and nothing more.

A "Fanatic" hangs out with other fanatics has parties in honor of the group and even follows them from concert to concert.

Like the Infamous "Deadheads" of past times before the passing of Gerry Garcia.

There is a huge difference between a fan... and a fanatic.

Not going to argue about this topic any further however Wikipedia has,

Juggalo or Juggalette (the latter being feminine) is a name given to fans of Insane Clown Posse or any other Psychopathic Records hip hop group.
It clearly says fans, not only those fans that hang out in large groups or follows them from concert to concert, that would be taking it to the next level fanatic.

Wikipedia! I am going to change that word to "fanatic" really quick**, because I can. Then what of what Wikipedia clearly says?

**Don't waste your browsing time, I'm not actually going to change anything.

Skylude, I'm not trying to be mean here. I'm just saying Wikipedia, while a great launching off point for research, cannot be the final say in anything. The media has been trolled so many times by people messing with Wikipedia information (it's hilarious I must say). At some point you must think of something logically, which I think Smoothy has done.

I absolutely love "Me and Bobby McGee" and various other Grateful Dead songs. Does that make me a deadhead. Lord, I hope not! You see the logic here?

    Deadheads

    Juggalos

    Kiss Army

There aren't any concerts I go to where people dress a certain way or paint their face or take LSD and dance around hugging sunrays for the sake of the music. That's just fanatical. I can say the same thing about sports!

Glad you said it! Anyone can write anything on wikipedia. So someone said fan instead of fanatic. Doesn't mean anything. I agree with smoothy too, fanatic is more fitting

The difference I see in those photos (apart from the fact the KISS army can actually do make-up, not just smash their face in a box of crayolas) is that the KISS fans are actually at a concert... the Juggalos are sitting in a dirty car park.

I will agree Wikipedia is not near the best place for real and true info. While we all use it at time. It even lists me as one of the Worlds leading religious leaders.

I am not sure (if I had to choose because my life depended on it) which group I would choose to hang out with... probably the KISS army. Between Dead heads and Juggalos, definitely Dead heads. Call me ignorant, but I'd actually fear for my life around Juggalos.

While KISS army and Dead heads do their fanaticism better, it doesn't make them NOT fanatics.

A year ago we had a question about jugaloos being a gang, maybe chuck can scrape it up, I cant. Why are we talking about jugaloos again. Is this thread hijacked. I hate going off topic, it is so bloody confusing. So what are we talking about now.

What does hippies haven anything to do with it? Hippism was actually a good movement. It got women up and thinking about what they wanted to do in life, burning bras, etc. I went through that. We had hippies in Ontario you know, for heavens sake. Do you guys think all this happened in the US.

Yes, look up the G20 in Toronto; then you know this particular police force on this particular day turned into a gang mentality. Not one cop had his badge on and the whole squad harassed absolutely everyone who were not doing anything. Arrested over one hundred people in holding cells, without water or food for 24 hours, possibly more.

This was for the G20 conference of international proportions and probably the reason why William and Kate did not include Toronto in their stop overs.

This topic got revived but it started in March. We were discussing whether Juggalos were fans or fanatics, and we used Dead heads as an example of fanatics.

I don't think anyone said anything about hippies or the hippie movement, but I could be wrong. Dead heads are hippies, but hippies are not Dead heads :)

Yeah Deadheads weren't the best example... they at least followed a band with talent.

I'm looking for information on crimes associated with "Juggalos" (fans of the band ICP). I have found several articles on seemingly random crimes attributed to a Juggalo,...
