    Deductions
    If I am on the deed of my sons house and he had no taxable income for last year am I allowed to claim the taxes and interest since I made the payments?

    Were you on the mortgage, thus making you LEGALLY obligated to make the house payments? If so, then, yes, you can claim the mortgage interest as payment on a second house.

    You can also claim the real estate taxes since the house is titled in your name.
