I had tooth pulled and put back
I had a root canal gone bad. So my dentist pulled it and put back in like 5 years ago.. Now it's loose and giving me slight pain. What I am worried about is a sore throat on that side and feeling ill. I think I am going to pull it. I heard leaving a root canal a dead tooth in your mouth has been linked to cancer. I have 2 others should I pull them too?

Don't pull your own teeth. Go to a Dentist.

I believe the "dead tooth/cancer" story is just that, a story.

I am not sure I fully understand. Your dentist pulled a tooth, then put that same tooth back in? Please give me more detailed info. Also, a root canal does not cause cancer.

Ok... I guess I was to brief. I would never pull my own tooth and I know root canals don't cause cancer. Let me start over. About 15 years ago I got a root canal, after 5 years it started hurting went to my dentist it was infected. So he pulled the tooth cut the root cleaned it and inserted it back into my mouth. He said it he was not sure how long it would last. Fast forward 10 years later it is loose hurting again, the gum line is pulling away from tooth. I have a sore throat on that side my ear is bugging me. I am getting it pulled on tues. I read on some hoalistic dentist website that root canals are very bad for your health. A lot like leaving a dead tree in park. Also the infection in your blood stream can cause cancers. To just pull the teeth is better, and not to get inplants with metal also linked to bad things. I have 4 root canals now. The one will be pulled on tues any ideas or helpful info on this would be appreciated. I am freaking out about it. It will cost me slot of money plus what can I put in place of my teeth not going to walk around like a hillbilly.

I think you should do some more research on these theories that you are believing... I have been in the dental profession for over 7 years and NEVER heard any link between root canals and cancer... nor have I heard any definitive proof that the dental metals have caused any adverse reactions except in allergy type situations... You probably should get a few opinions before making your decision. We can not answer this question without all the pertinent information: x-rays, medical history, dental status, periodontal status... etc... get more opinions!
