Credit card increased my available credit, then decreased it months later.
Fingerhut credit card sent letter stating that I had a temporary credit increase if used by a certain date. I had to charge up to that amount in order to keep the increase. Now that I have charged up to that amount, they have now sent me a letter stating that they are going to decrease my credit limit. What is going on? I have had this account for six years and never missed a payment or was late on a payment.

A lot of companies are re-evaluating credit cards - what lead to a dollar amount one month may lead to a lower dollar amount (credit wise) the next.

I had the interest on my credit card INCREASED. The explanation is that I don't run a balance; therefore, if I DO have a balance I will pay more.

    Go figure.
