Heater trouble
Hello;
This is the second winter that my Weil McLain CG heater has been giving me problems. The heater is about 10 years old & has a pilot light. Last winter I had the Thermostat changed & the circulating pump changed but the heater continues to act up. As you know when it comes on you have the pump which comes on and circulates the water, then about 15 to 20 seconds later the heater ignites. Well some times I hear the pump and some times I don't. The heater still ignites. Also there are times I can not control the system from the Thermostat ( not able to shut it off). I find myself having to go to the emergency shut off switch to turn it off. At times after being off for several hours I'll turn it back on and it will work as it should. Is trhis an wiring problem, is there a relay which ,a be faulty. Any help I can get regarding this problem wou;d be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rick |

My monitor heater is 3 years old and has never had a problem since installed. It is now giving an E 13 error code. Where should I start when trouble shooting? I have 2 other monitors that come off the same fuel supply line, this is the first in the series. Any idea where to start?
I just moved into a house and when they turned on the gas they mentioned that the pilot light wouldn't stay lit. I suspected the thermocouple as I've had that problem before so I signed off and the next day I went down to Ace and bought a thermocouple. I installed it and it still wouldn't stay lit....
Hi, We have just moved into a new house and are having trouble with the fan on our ducted heater. It is a Brivis MPS He 20E series. We haven't been able to find a way to slow the fan down. We don't have instructions - if anyone can help. Thanks,:confused:
We are getting a smell around the water heater tank area, that smells like decomp... There are no leaks and this smell seems to come and go . My wife can smell it much more than I can and she thinks that we need to replace the heater. I can't see how a smell would be coming from the tank if there...
W have a suburban camper heater. Sometimes it will ignite and work but sometimes it won't. We have had a repairman out here many times that seem to fix it and then it does it again... HELP:(
