Regarding AOL service charges
I accidentally downloaded the wrong version of AOL... meant to do free version... as I do have broadband... but did not enter any charge card number or any type of payment method... when I saw it was wrong version.. I immediately changed it to the free version... and it came up as free version when I checked status of account with AOL. BUT it did connect once the way it connects if you are a paying AOL member. What I want to know is can they apply charges to your phone bill... as it did connect once. I am fairly certain they cannot, thanks Herb

Interesting to note,that to try and stop spammers,AOL,and Yahoo,are going to charge a very tiny fee (1 cent),to deliver email that does not go through spam filters: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4684942.stm Am I missing something here? Both companies say that delivered email...
