I used to love it as a kid I don't remember much

1. cartoon possible 80's or early 90's. (it was a movie not a TV show)

2. I think it was 3 main characters. I remember one boy teens I think and a girl also in her teens and I don't remember the other maybe he was a kid.

3. they had a crystal of some sort

4. the city was turning to crystal or ice because the crystal was not in its place at the top of a building.

5. a character turns to crystal or ice in the car (main character towards end)

6. when climbing the building a giant black spider thing comes out and tries to stop one of the charaters from placing the crystal in the slot and his body starts to freeze or crystallize.

Please help me with this movie nobody knows what I'm talking about lol... thanks:)
