    Installing ceiling fan with 3 hot 3 neutral and 3 ground coming from the ceiling HELP
    When installing a ceiling fan, there are 3 hot, 3 neutral and 3 ground wires coming from the ceiling when attaching all black total of 4 all white total of 4 and all ground total of for the breaker trips, then when connecting only 2 hot together 2 neutal and 2 ground the fan and light do not work. Any advise greatly appreciated...

    Silly question I know, but how was the old fixture wired?

    What you have is not three sets of hot and neutral. One of those cables is a switch loop.
    Do you have a decent electrical tester that will do continuity and voltage?

    Best thing would be to purchase a cheap meter. But if you insist.

    Be certain that the wall switch to the fan/light is in the off position.

    When all wires are disconnected there will be something else that does not work. That may be an outlet or it may be a light in another room (be sure switch is on).

    When you know what that is, connect two black wires together and two white wires together. Keep trying different combinations (there are only 3 possible). When you have the correct two blacks and two white wires connected the "other thing" will work.
    Then connect the remaining white wire and the black wire from the fan to the two connected black wires. Connect the white of the fan to the two connected whites. Connect the blue of the fan/light to the remaining black wire.
