Educational assistance for ex Federal inmates.
I just got out of Federal Prison after 15 yrs... I want to take a online course but I have an Old student loan that is in default. Is there a program for ex federal inmates that can get the loan out of default? Also is there a program available to ex federal inmates that will help pay for the new course I want to take?

The school you want to attend (on line) will have this information at its fingertips. No, I am not aware of ANY program that will forgive a student loan (which is what I think you are asking). Student loans are even the exception to the bankruptcy law. Some local programs will assist ex-convicts through vocational training, "in person" college loans. Where are you? |
