What doctors accept no fault insurance in Charlotte NC?
I was injured in an automobile accident in Brooklyn, NY. I was a backseat passenger at the time of the accident. I'm being cover by the No Fault Insurance policy of the driver who's car I was riding in but I live in Charlotte, NC and am having a very hard time finding doctors who accept it. Besides the chiropractor everyone else says they don't do third party billing. I have been calling around.
Anyone know how I can find physicians that do? I am having headaches and appear to have nerve damage in my right arm. I particularly need to see a neurologist.

There shouldn't be a problem with most doctors if you can show them the proper paperwork. Seeing a specialist without a referral might be more problematic. Headaches and nerve pain might best be treated at a pain clinic, along with a good chiropractor.. what has he or she said about your headaches and arm pain? A lot is treated with wait and see (for bruising and muscle strain to go away) but you need to be seen early or the insurance won't cover it. Whiplash can create deep bruises along the vertebrae that don't go away.

Thx for your response joypulv. I have seen four doctors who all told me to see a neurologist. I asked everyone including urgent care, my primary care physician, the emergency room, and the neurologist;to bill no fault insurance for my visit, they all said no. They don't do 3rd party billing. For my ER visit they gave me a form to fill out to file a claim w/ billing department for liability insurance or workers comp. But they must approve it before the can take me off self pay. My Chiropractor is the only one willing to accept the no fault insurance and he is scared to adjust my back because of the shaking in my arms and hands. So they are giving me electro therapy right now and have been waiting for me to see a neurologist. My chiropractor told me no one wants to take no fault insurance because they are slow to pay. I called about 10 different neurology offices I found on the internet not one of them will do the 3rd party billing. It seems to me this is a NC thing to refuse no fault/3rd party billing.

You need to contact the local Medical Society and ask for a referral. Some Physicians within NY will not take NY no fault patients, consider the paperwork overwhelming. Of course, the paperwork CAN be overwhelming.

If that fails, call the no fault carrier and ask for help and advice. Some insurance companies are a lot easier to deal with than others.

Do you have a paper from the insurance company that they are going to pay for this treatment ? If so, there should not be an issue.

If on the other hand, you have no written proof from them, just their address and when the doctor calls to verify, they will not confirm they will pay, but want to see the doctor report first.

But then of course "if YOU KNOW they will pay" just get treated, be billed and then present them with the bill and they pay you.
