I was charged with theft under 5000 by employer in Edmonton, Ab.
There is evidence and I confessed to the police. They gave me a finger print day and a court day. It's my first offence and everything was given back. What is the worst thing that can happen because I don't have a criminal record.

The worst thing that could happen is jail time. What will happen? No idea. It really depends on the judge.

I'd suggest you get a lawyer.

I could go to jail? Well I'm getting a legal aid person and it's my first offence and everything was returned and I'm only 18.

I'd say you're more likely to get community service than actual jail time. And you'll probably end up with a criminal record. Talk to your legal aid persons if you're really worried.

You asked what the worst thing could be, and that's it. You likely won't go to jail, but it is a possibility. Theft is a criminal act.

You say you're only 18. You're an adult in the eyes of the law. You will likely have this on your record for the rest of your life. Doesn't seem worth it now does it?

Make sure you get a good lawyer, and after this, if you do get off with a slap on the wrist, it's time to reconsider your life, and stay on the straight and narrow. You may get lucky this time, but do it again and jail time will be an even bigger possibility.

I admitt to what I did was wrong, but everyone makes mistakes. Just wondering if they would take my clean record under consideration

They most likely will, but again, it depends on the judge.

Ask 4 alternative measures donate time to some charity do anything you can because that record could ruin future possibilities in your life! Same thing happened to me now I'm just a meth head when I could have been a nurse in vegas! Couldn't go over the border.
