My boyfriend of 2 yrs did acid during one of our break ups... After a few weeks he called and said he wanted to get back together. We did and he had totally changed into a different person. A crazy person!! He started telling me that he could make the sun come out, and he had friends that had "powers", and that he is now closer to god. He continued his insanity by preaching to me about the bible and how it relates directly to him. And how god chose him to do something so he's doing it. etc. WHY ME?? WHY DID I FALL IN LOVE WITH A PSyCHO? And why do I still love him? :(

A better question is... Why are you still there? If you don't like the way he is then just leave him and stop dating a guy who disturbingly believes that he is some type of god...

He is just under the influence of a mind, and mood altering drug, stay away from him, for your own good.

This does not sound like a person who did acid, once. That is like saying he went out and got drunk just once, and has stayed drunk ever since.

He is most likely still doing drugs, who knows what kind(s), what combinations, what amounts. The point is, from how you have described his behaviour now, he is a troubled person, for whatever reason.

It is not because of you, or because you broke up for a few weeks, that has caused this. If he went out and robbed a bank instead of getting high, would you take responsibility for that too?

Because this is obviously psychotic in nature, and he is choosing to do whatever he is doing, and I don't hear you saying that he, himself, is concerned about his detachment from reality, you are in a very dangerous position. If he believes himself (as it sounds) to be a god, who can control the weather, connect directly to God, and he has friends with special powers, it is important that you realize what you are dealing with here.

This doesn't sound like something he is going to just snap out of in my opinion. I think he needs to see a Doctor, and more specifically, a Psychiatrist. There is much going on here that is out of your control, and he should be assessed.

My guess is there is a history of mental illness.
