My boyfriend broke up with me for sending him a gift at work
On valentines my boyfriend sent me Roses at work. I decided to send him a plant and some lunch delivered for Valentine's day. He felt sick and I thought soup would be great. He works in a professional building and when he received these items... people teased him and he emailed me to NEVER send him anything at work. We have emails to each other and he deactivated/deleted his email account.
It has been a week and I have not heard anything from him.
He has not called, texted or emailed me again.
We never discussed nor resolved any issues.
I feel he broke up with me because he cancelled his email account so that I cannot email him... but I am confused.
Most sick men would appreciate soup and a gift at Valentine's day.
I have only dated him 6 months and he is recently divorced and maybe didn't want anyone at work to know he had a girlfriend.
He said he loved me very much but why would he just shut me out?
Will he call me again... or is this really over?
I really don't feel I have to apologize for doing something nice.

Don't you have his phone number- (not work number, his personal number)- why don't you just call him and see what's going on?

I figured if he closed our email account... he didn't want communication with me. I feel he should do the first move in the calling? I also figure maybe he isn't ready for a full blown relationship since he just ended a 25 year marriage... and I scared him by sending a gift

You are right, leave him alone to get over himself.
