    13 yr old dog troubles walking
    Our 13year old dog is a colli/sheppard mix, is having troubles using his back legs and keeps falling. Any adivse?

    Hi, about your dog, have u took it to a vet.. sounds like it might have arthritis.

    It could be arthritis, it could also be something in the back itself.

    Large breed dogs, and especially older large breed dogs are more prone to hip and joint problems than most other smaller breeds. And yes, could also be arthritis. There are vitamins and supplements that can help with this. Especially if your dog has had a very active life. Also, like cheekyasbaby said, you should take him/her to the vet! We can only offer suggestions, we cannot diagnose like an "in office" visit. Remember they (our pets) can't always tell us when something is wrong. Good Luck!
