    No water in pressuure tank after pump shuts off.

    Do a volume test. Let the pump get to cut off pressure. Start running water into a 5 gallon container. You should get at least 5 or 6 gallons before the pump cuts back on, possibly more depending on the size of your tank. If you get that much, then don't worry about the tank.

Installed new water tank and well pump. Air in water tank is set at 2 psi lower than the cut in for the water pump which is 28 psi- water pump at 30 psi. Draw water 2 gal pump shut off and the psi in the water tank is at 56 psi shouldn't the water read 28 psi? Why 56?
