    Which CPU for Broadband?
Thanks to all the guys who answered my last question, really helpful, but I got one more which is kind of related.
I need to get a new CPU to run BB efficiently, what minimum would people recommend for a Mobo that supports 100Mhz system bus? From what I have read heatsinks and fans maybe necessary and it must be a ZIF chip. AMD, Pentium?
    Thanks again

Broad band as in internet connection?? The processor doesn't really affect the speed of your internet connection unless it's really slow. It's very unlikely to be the choking point of the system.

I agree with Cap that the processor, even one as old as you have, will have litle affect on Broadband speeds. I think you will have more trouble finding a processor for that old a MOBO. You might not even be able to upgrade it beyond what currently on it.

Frankly I would be loath to put any money into that old a system. I would put my money into a new (or at least newer) system.

Scott's right. Don't even bother with any upgrades to this system unless a) it is free AND b) you're doing it for fun. You can find many magnitudes more powerful systems now-a-days for dirt cheap.
