    Toilet slow to drain
    Hi there-
My toilet is slow to drain, yesterday it overflowed- plunging does not seem to make water go down, just time does- nothing was flushed down there to my knowledge- just paper- what could the solve the problem- buying a plumbing snake-

A few months agon a toy was flushed down the upstairs toilet- plumber was called to solve the problem all- has been well- could the two be related?

    Thanks- Lisa

The two could easily be related. Did the plumber retrive the toy or just open the line? The toy could now be in you main drain below both toilets. The lower toilet will be the only one to overflow.

Hi everyone - thanks for the help- I went out and bought a toilet snake and retrieved a paper cup that was causing the problem- - saved myself the cost of a plumber- and I feel great! No more paper cups while I have three kids in the house-! Good day!

Slow toilet [ 2 Answers ]

Okay, I have had some trouble with my toilet running slowly. I've cleaned out the holes on the top and bottom of my toilet bowl. I have also gone on the roof and snaked the vent (not to mention plunging the heck out of the toilet when I first started having trouble). The flapper looks good and I...

I've finished putting new seal on toilet and I have put a new tank on . Now when the toilet is flushed you need to hold the lever down and after all the water is out of the tank, the toilet finally drains. Then it seems to take awhile for the tank to fill back up with water... over a min. is that...

Older house. When I flush the toilet sometimes it works fine. But most of the time the water does not drain. Here is what I have done so far. I rented a commercial drain cleaner machine and took off the toilet and snaked it to the clean-out plug in the basement where the line then goes to the...
