    Red cells, proteins, sugars, gases, amino acids etc.
    Red cells and the proteins contained in plasma do not leave the circulation unless the blood vessel is damaged by infection or injury, yet the gases, sugars, amino acids and other small molecules contained in plasma can cross into the tissues. What is the biological principle related to membranes is involved?

    It wasn't a homework assignment. It was from a lab done in class but I didn't know the answer for it.
