    Passport application with e-birth certificate issued in Chennai
    My daughter was born in Chennai, India and the system out there with birth certificate issuance is such that they give you a link to their municipal corporation's website where all records with reference to births are updated. The complete certificate along with all details come up and a PDF of the certificate is available for you to take as many prints as required. This printout is not acceptable at the time of applying for a passport for her. We are back in our hometown, Mumbai. How can we procure a passport for her with just this one document as age, identity and birth proof?

    You have to contact the office again for verification of the document. Can't just use the printout.

    I am exactly having the same problem now in Hyderabad passport office.
    Is there any way found out for this?
