Child support issue - getting money don't have kid.
I had custody of my daughter and got child support for her. 8 years ago I lost custody to my parents but I have been receiving the child support and spending it. Am I in trouble if I get caught? I live in Nebraska.

Not as long as you can pay it all back

But seriously, how did you lose cusotdy, I will assume it was though court?

But did anyone go back and change the court order for child support, your parents should have filed for support once they got custody.

OK, mom and you signed ? Was it filed in court and did it get approved by the judge.

Who is paying the child support?? The babies father ?
Did you all get his permission to sign over guardianship, since if you give up guardianship to someone else, he may have the right to custody of the child over your mom

And she hasn't done anything to stop the support?

I would return the money to her and tell her to stop it.

I meant to say my daughters mom. She was in jail and I was drunk and passed out on the couch mid afternoon. My parents came to my house and my daughter answered the door. I signed over gardianship to my parents so that they wouldn't take my other 2 daughters. My daughters mom signed over gardianship while she was in jail to get our daughter out of my home. I guess she never changed the child support order cause I've been receiveing the support from her. Now 8 years later I'm wondering if I'm going to get in trouble for spending all that money on myself. That make better sense?
