Okayy so there is this guy and he likes me and I've dated him and he cheated on me after 4 or 5 years and he wants to go back out and I felt bad about holding his hand 2 days ago and hugging him everyday and I don't like him and I convinced him somehow that I do and I don't know how to say no to him without hurting his feelings and he asked me to the dance we are having and I said I won't go with you but I will dance with you at the dance but not all the time and he said that he has a question for me... and that is to ask me out and I don't know what to do?. help please

Puncuations are your friend, please use them! All you can do is tell him you don't like him in that way and your going to the dance with someone else, he ruined what you had first time round so your not going back there only fr it to happened again. Just be straight with him and don't sugar coat it because he won't get the message.

As AIH said, be honest and as gentle as possible. It is better to do it now than let him build up more hope and be let down harder at the end.

I would say something like... I do like you but I will not go back to someone who cheats because I could not feel the same or trust them again.
We maybe can be friends , but nothing more.

But always be honest and you will see the benefits and rewards that it brings to your life. Make it a habit.
