I need the title of older comedy movie.

It has a scene with a bald-headed prisoner sitting on a toilet attached to a gas chamber. He's eating beans and an old lady is put in the chamber and he passes gas.

There was a movie out a few years ago about a radio station in the 30's/40's when radio dramas were popular. There ends up being a murder at the radio station. It's a comedy/mystery. Anyone remember the title? I can't remember anyone that starred in it either.
