Me and my ex boyfriend were dating for six months, and he broke up with me six months ago. I got through my worst months in my live but never got over with him. Now he is dating another girl and I'm trying my best of me to get over him, I go out with my friends I go shopping a lot I started school, I've been on a date with another guy but nothing nothing nothing gets my mind of him... I'm not obsessed of him but I think of him every now and then and how much I miss him. *** tell me if this is natural or I'm just a psycho?. love

Nope your not psycho! Your just a person like the rest of us here on this site that has had a relationship with a person they love very much END. How we handle that is very individual and personal.

You are doing what you need to by getting out with friends,and even trying to date. I have been were you are at, watched him basically move in with another woman within 2weeks of break up!! It took me even longer to get over the pain and betrayal.

Just keep doing anything and everything you can to stay occupied. I will say this, don't for any reason let him hook you. I let my ex keep me hooked by sending emails-phone call, etc for almost a year, before I finally got the guts to end it all contact. Don't try and get any info on your ex, just concentrate on your life!!

Recognize that you are trying to get over this, give yourself credit. Remember the hurt doesn't disappear until we are ready to truly let go and never look back. How and when we finally come to that point is up to the individual. I would also suggest that going to counselor helps, it's a place you can go talk and cry without judgement!!

It takes time to get over someone. Everyone takes a different amount of time to do so.

The best thing you can do is to continue to distract yourself and continue meeting new people. Your last date might not have turned out so well, so meet someone else.

Make new friends too.

Its both normal, and natural as the healing process is different for us all. Some heal slower than others. Just keep doing what your doing and you will eventually get beyond thinking of him so much.
