What kind of Motherboard can I get for AMD Athlon 64 x2
I had a Motherboard that a few weeks ago die on me. It was a K8n Neo2-FX from MSI. Not the best one by far. I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 pros, 2 G.Skill DDR Ram, and a ATI 9600 Pro Vidoe card. I'm guessing the Vidoe card is a AGP. I want to get more Ram and maybe have a change to not only us my old video card, and get a new one put in at the same time. In short I want to know what Motherboard out there that better then my old motherboard, and still be able to us my current items for it. Be able to us 4 DDR Rams, Us a AGP video card, but still put another type of video card in it. Can us a AMD athlon 64 X2, and sound card I have as well. Not give me a headace to us. Ty for anyone help and maybe a site for the motherboard

You will most likely be looking through E-Bay since any AGP boards are fairly obsolete now. If its E-Bay you might consider looking for the same board since changing to a another one will cause you to reformat your drive since it was using drivers for the old board and they're very difficult to remove completely. If you change motherboards without deleting the old drivers, you will most likely encounter driver conflicts since its unlikely you will have the same identical Chipsets. It seems wise to me to look for an exact match for your board on the cheap and keep that PC as a backup or secondary, and build or buy a newer model with Sata and Pci-e and all the other goodies.
