Hi my last periods date was 14th dec 2010 n my doc says that I'm 8th week pregnant I had blood spot last day I rushed to the doc she asked for an ultrasound I had it doc saw the ultrasound report and told me that there is no heart beat in my baby may be I have lost it and I should go for an abortion please help and advice me should I go for abortion or wait for sometime?

Was the ultrasound vaginal or abdominal?

Personally, I would wait a bit longer and ask for a follow-up scan to be done to confirm. While usually a heartbeat would be detected, it can sometimes happen where it is not picked up in the early weeks.

I agree. At 8 weeks, it can be difficult to pick up a heart beat, particularly if the operator wasn't an expert. Get a confirmation before you make any decisions.

Abortion is not an answer in this case. If it does turn out to be a miscarriage in many cases the materials left behind will naturally come out on its own. Give it some time and wait a while yet and get another ultrasound done in the future sometime. If it turns out to be a miscarriage or not, they still have to do followups.

Thank you guys I will wait for miscarriage but wouldn't go for an abortion and wait for sometime may be my baby picks the heart beat some times later my fingers crossed lets see what happens ALLAH help me I'm prepared for the worst but I always hope for the best

For what it's worth, I was told at 8 weeks that my baby had no heartbeat. That baby is now ten years old and training to be a taekwondo champion.
