    Water Heater Pilot Light Problem
I have 75 gallon Bradford White combi water heater installed in 1995 (it doubles as a boiler for my in-floor heating). The pilot light has gone out more than once over the last couple of months and I replaced the thermocouple today but noticed the flame is more orange than blue and it looks a little lazy (more like a long cigarette lighter flame). I also vacuumed and cleaned the burner. Is there an adjustment for the pilot light or any other suggestions? Does a lazy pilot light affect how efficient the thermocouple is? I already took the pilot light shroud out and cleaned it with no apparent difference in the flame. Right now it seems to be working I just want it to be more efficient. I know the water heater is at the end of its life span but want it to last... this type of combi water heater is about $2000 to replace.

Move the thermocouple closer to the pilot light.
