I need advice regarding a problem my friend has with her granddaughter. The girl is 13 and she and her mother are both SEN, the mother is in a relationship with another man whom she has a child by. The stepfather has had to move away from an area as he had been warned off by another family because he had touched their child's bottom inappropaitly. The stepfather ia over attentive to the girl and creates situations where he can be alone with the girl. The Mother had a Social Worker a while ago and the grandmother says she would have a word about her concerns if the Social Worker was still around. The Grandmother thinks the stepfather is grooming the girl for sex. Whom should she go to for advice.

I'm sorry I know it can be difficult to speak about such things, but honestly I need more details. I will be honest I have patted my own daughters bottom affectionately and I don't doubt it can be done innocently by a man as well, and many fathers love alone time with your daughters innocently and not sexually.

I would like to know exactly what you mean by innapropreitly touching her bottom, and what does he do that is overly attentive.

He has made excuses to the grandmother so she picks up his son so he can then go and pick the girl up from school which is not necessary as she is bussed home being she is Special Educational Needs. He also insists he take he to school after she has spent the weekend with her grandmother which again is not necessary as the grandmother or the school bus can take her. The girl becomes distressed some times when he comes to collect her, because she does not want to go with him.
