Frist let me say I am a property manager and I am a little confused I have a tenant who gets assisstence her rent is paid by two different organizations most of it is paid by section 8 and the rest is General Assistence. The property by court order was appointed a receiver. Well the reciver gave me documents to give all our tenants so they can give to their workers to change the payee so this tenant did just that. On Monday Feb. 7, 2011 I called the office to ask if they receive the payment for this tenant the answer was yes. Then on Tuesday Feb.8, 2011 the tenant gave her 30 day notice now one day later Feb. 9, 2011 the receive said no the secretray was wrong they hadn't receive one of the payments the lower one and told me to give the tenant a 3 day notice I don't think he has that right or does he? She had a credit of $2.00 before her payment that G.A. pays is 76.00 so this month should have been $74.00 yet the three day notice was for $76.00 what the law?
