    Executor of will has taken 11 years still hasn't closed will
    My grandfather had his lawyer be the executor of his will it has been 11 years since he passed away and the lawyer still has not closed the will what should we do about this situation?

    What state are you in, has it been to probate?

    If by that you mean distributed the assets of the estate to those entitled by the will, you might (after first examining the court file to see if there is any apparent reason for the delay), file a motion with the probate court to require the executor to show cause why the estate has not been closed.
