Heyy... :(six months ago I stole from fortinos and I was given a warning and a trespassing paper to sign... I went back a week ago.. got caught stealing about 90 bucks of stuff called a lawyer and was told they were not allowed to listen to me calling him even though they were... I also ended up waiting till 10ish for the cop to come and serve me with..

Theft under $5000
Possession under &5000

I was also reserved 3 times du to mistakes on the cops part.. im getting finger printed on the 21st of December and my court dates on the 9th of jan... what will happen and what are the consistences most likely going to be.. :confused:

I don't know what you mean by "what are the consistences most likely to be" BUT I would say you will receive a fine, have to make restitution. I don't see jail time. I do see jail time the next time you steal.

Hello, I too was caught stealing at fortinos... today! And I'm scared ****-less its my first time. I only stole a small bottle of Aveno cream and its value was like 25.00.. but because its over 20 they will make me pay a ticket of 325.00 and the police were called and they did not charge me. They let me go... and told me that I am banned entering the store for 1 year! I'm allowed after that. Fortinos wants me to pay them 300 dollars as a fine, how ****ed up is that. But still... I only did it because the prices were rising so high and fortino sells juice boxes for like 5.25 and a pack of spinach is 3.99 which is 4.00. But I really felt bad and the one by my house is really strict they don't mess around even if its your first time. Like mine, next time I'd be in ****... you shouldn't have gone back! Well you will be fined and now you have criminal record so if you want a job it will always be there that is the conquences is the word you meant!

The first thing I'll tell you is to watch your language on the legal boards. This is not a chat room.

Stealing because prices (in your eyes) are TOO high and you "only" stole a product valued at $25 are absolutely ridiculous. Use that defense and expect a heavy fine and a lot of inconvenience.

You will have to pay the fine and restitution. You are fortunate (or so it appears) that you will not have a Police record.
