How to build a concrete platform for a washer/dryer in an uneven basement?

 the back part of my cellar where I have my washer and dryer is uneven, and slopes from back to front, over this area it is about 2 inches uneven. Should I use 2x4 or bigger wood to use as a form for my concrete pad? Any other tips? 
Can I add a shower to a basement half baath with an electrical box in the room?

 I want to finish my basement and put a bathroom in. The builder put a drain stub for a sink and a toilet in the room, on the east wall. Also, the electrical box is on the same wall about 3 feet to the right of the toilet drain.The builder did not add a stub for a shower. I am thinking of opening... 
Platform for pre-fab shower

 I recently gutted our basement bathroom due to mold. The shower was a pre-fab neo angle corner shower with a wooden (moldy) platform underneath. We would like to put a new shower in, but are wondering what type of material to use for the platform?

Shower unit fitted with platform underneath

Is it advisable to have a shower unit fitted with a platform underneath so that if there were a leak it could be got to easily. I would be very grateful for anyone's views as to how important a platform would be. Pam View more questions Search
