Something tells me there is more to this story. If you want a good answer you could probably put a little more explanation into your post. Just saying, to get the answers you want to hear.

    Hello r:

You will need PROOF that you intended to retrieve your dog. Emails, letters, and witnesses should do it.

Small claims court can only give you a judgment for money damages. If you want the dog, as opposed to the value of the dog, you should look elsewhere.

Thanks for answering the only thing is my boss was a wittness to her picking the dog up from me at my job I have a notarized letter and the proof being 19 days later I called and she slammed a restraining order on me we are going in front of the same judge that heard that part of the case which centered around calling and quote harassing her for my dog back court is in 2 days the only thing is she gave my dog away that day which I had no freekin idea I found him by tracking him through a vet in her area with the sheriff going to vet to get the records of who had my dog but court is in 2 days and someone posted small claim wasn't the right route I don't know what else to do besides go over there and get him myself!! If I can't do it the legal way

I have been told by law enforcement that was the legal way to get him back he's a purebred dachsun I paid 600 dollars for him but I want him not the money its property belonging to me why can't I take the police over to get him she should never had possession of my dog instead of going over there and taking him I'm trying to do it the legal way
