Will replacing my fill valve help?
I replaced the seal beneath the fill valve and the seals for the bolts that hold the tank on the toilet. The leak is still there, and it is definitely coming from the hole for the fill valve.
Having already replaced the seals, will replacing the entire fill valve help? |

Can't hurt, Benny. A new fluidmaster fill valve only costs about $8.00 so swap the old for the new and you should be all set! Read the instructions provided with the fill valve for tightenss, etc. ;) Also, just in case you have a crack there at the fill valve get up real close to the hole fill valve hole in the tank and inspect for cracks. If you think this could be an issue in any way you can accentuate anything questionable by adding food coloring to the tank and seeing if the "crack" gets colored. Obviously, if you have a cracked tank you will need to replace it. Mark |

Had new fluidmaster fill valve put in to fix a leaky toilet, and now there's a loud banging noise in the pipes (that was never there before) and not only after the toilet is flushed, it's pretty much intermittent throughout the day. Can't sleep at night... Help!
I have a toilet that shut off the incoming water to the fill valve after the toilet is flushed. I replaced the fill valve and flapper in toilet, but when I turned on the Water, it does not fill up the tank quickly. There is water through the Tube, but it jut "trickles" into the tank!
I replaced the fill valve in my toilet and the water will not fill up in the tank. When I disconnect the pipe between the shut off and tank, I can turn the water "on" and nothing happens. The sink and shower both work but the water won't go to the toilet. What can I do to fix this problem?
