I'm so sorry that I didn't see this sooner. I have been off the site for awhile for personal reasons. I just happened upon this question by chance. I'm not sure what type of resources you are looking for but it sounds like you may be seeking help for an attachment disorder. It's very difficult to help when I don't know where (generally) you live. There is some good information on the following websites:

If you have any further questions beyond what you can learn at these 3 sites, feel free to post back on this question. As your child is already 14 years old, this may be challenging.

I'm very, very good! I have moved from Ontario to Nova Scotia. My husband of 3.5 years has finally retired and moved here from CT. I live close to my Dad (even work for him in the summer!) for the first time in over 15 years. My health is better than it was... yep, life is good! :) How about you??
