Lisags, there should be directions on the side that shows how to light your heater, You don't need a lighter on yours, it has an igniter. Good luck

I do not see a ignition switch like I have on my gas grill... the instructions said on the tank to
Turn thermostat to lowest settings.. (I assume vacation although the picture on the tank said between 120 and 130)
Turn t o pilot light
While holding down red button
And light manually
I have no idea what I am doing a and I called a plumber 2 days ago but I live in a very rural community with under 12o people and I guess he decided not to come and he is the only plumber out here adni left him a message yesterday however he has not called bock and he assured meat the time he would be there that day or yesterday a and no show... the closet plumber after that is about 2 hrs away and they do not come out this way.. so I have to figure this out myself

OK, first let me ask. Why it needs relit? Just go out? Or was some work done on the gas line?

Lisa, with the model # you gave, it show an igniter, but since you don't have one here's what I would do, turn the thermostat down, turn the knob on top to pilot, push down and hold the red button while holding the lighter to the end of the small aluminun line, after holding the red button down 15 seconds let it up and the pilot should stay lit. Then you turn the temp back up. Good luck and let me know.

Hi guys...
Lisags, by your responses, I don't think you should be messing with this at all, OK? If you fill the combustion chamber with too much gas you can get burned or cause an explosion and you, me and partime don't want that.
See if a neighbor can drop over to help, or call another plumber and have them do this for you. This is NOT worth getting burned over... ;)
Please let us know how you make out here...
