    Avoid NY income tax
    If I move to Florida but continue to work for a company in NYC, how can I avoid NYC & NYS income taxes?

    NOT if you work and live in NYC on a temporary basis.

    The NY City tax authorities will consider you to be a resident if you maintain an apartment in NYC while working there.

    If you live and work in Florida, but are paid from a company based in NYC, you are NOT liable for ANY New York taxes.
