Snow blew into the vent. Now I have water in the fan. How do I safely take apart the fan to remove?

If its an open frame motor you can use a hair dryer and dry it out far easier with less risk of damage.

Unfortunately it is closed. I may try sucking it out from outside with the shop vac.

If you can take it off and have acess to compressed air and a blow gun you might blow out the bulk of the water and put it in a warm place, like near a heater vent overnight.

You have to be careful with electric motors... sometimes you can get them apart and sometimes you can't. It all depends on how they are made.

If it looks like you have long thin screws that go from one end to the other those odds decrease a lot... those don't like coming apart. Its usually the smaller ones that won't.
