Main line to septic tank has a lot of sludge!
I had my tanked pumped about 9 months ago. I then took off the tank my gray water and put in a pitt. Sometimes the toilets want to flush slow. I connected new air vents to main line when I moved the other lines.Today I used a drain king to flush out the line, but my hose was to short I think. Water came backout when I turned off the water but now everything seams to workings great. Now the Question should I get a longer hose a do this again? Thanks buddy2

    Hey Buddy...

In the long run the drain king will help to loosen sediment/sludge, etc. but it won't remove nearly as much from the drain line as a snake with the correct size head and some hot water flowing while snaking... ;)

Next time you have issues, rent a cable machine with good size cutter heads and then install 1/2 the cutter head and run hot water while snaking the drain... this will clear sludge the entire length of piping and result in a job that will last a super long time, OK?

    Good luck!

Thanks Mark: Will try the cable machine if I have more trouble. Is there a chance the cable Machine could get hung up in septic tank? My sewer main line is a straght 66'to the tank . Thanks Bud!

Yes there is, so you would measure out the MAX distance and mark it on the cable machine BEFORE sending the cable down the drain! :)

I am tying in to an existing septic system. To get the slope required from the house to the tank I will have a tie in point that is about 1 inch lower than the existing tie-in. This puts me closer to the outlet which will have sewer standing in the new line. I am wondering if I can drop the...
