    Kenmore dishwasher 587.1618 clean light stays on?
    The "Clean" light is supposed to go off when the door is opened. It stays on, hence, I cannot start a cycle. I have to trip the circuit breaker to in effect "reset" the machine. I also have noticed a burning smell in the control panel area. Any ideas?

    Issue resolved. Burnt wire at connection between main harness and control panel, affecting both parts. $160. To repair (replacing both parts).
