How is a non-lawyer supposed to levy a bank acct of debtor?
I have a judgment in my favor and have some information on the person that owes me the money. I know where they used to bank, but in Texas, how do I do this if I am not an attorney? Someone offered to help me if I gave them half of the judgment, but I can't afford that. I went to the courthouse and they told me I can file a Writ of Execution on a bank account. Help!

Lawers get paid because they have taken the trouble to figure out how to do these things. Save yourself money by figuring it out yourself.

Start by reading the Texas statutes and rules relating to executions. Then, for examples, ask the clerk of court to let you look in other case files to see exactly how it was done in other cases.

Alternatively, you could pay an attorney by the hour. Someone (a non-attorney, evidently) offered to help you for a percentage. Surely, of you shop around, you can get someone to do it on an hourly basis.

You have a judgement but have they already defaulted or refused to pay the judgement?
