I don't know what kind of fan this is, the pull chain ends have the letters S.M.C on them.
I replaced the fan switch because the neck broke off it, not because of any electrical failure. I evidently misswired it when I installed the new switch because now it doesn't run from any selection.
It was running OK before I "fixed it". The light is still working.
Is there someplace I can get a wiring diagram?
There are four wires in the switch. 2 black, 1 red, 1 blue.
Three of these wires go to the Capacitor block Black, Red, Blue and the other black wire goes to the connector plug
    I would appreciate any help.

That's an SMC fan. Usually they use a 3 wire 3 speed pullchain with black as L, blue as 1 and red as 2. The original switch, does it have L 1 2 and 3 or just L 1 and 2?
