    How to replace a water pump on a 2001 dodge ram 1500 pickup

    . Disconnect negative battery cable.

    . Drain coolant from radiator, to a point below the water pump.

    . Remove serpentine belt.

    . Remove water pump.

    . Install new water pump and gasket.

    . Button things up.
