HoThe hot water in my shower will not turn off
I have a pegausu single handle shower. I only get hot water and it will not turn off at all when I turn the handle. I shut off the water and replaced the cartridge with a new one but it didn't do anything. When I turned the water back on hot water turns on and I still can't shut it off.

How do I get the valve out to replace the washer in a 30 year old house? I thought I could open it all the way and screw it out but it doesn't want to come out. Am I doing it wrong or is there a trick? Don't want to bust the old copper pipe in the wall if I can help it. Thanks!
