    No water
We had a leak under our kitchen sink, so we replaced the washer which stopped the leak, but now we have no water coming out of the faucet but it comes out of the spray nozzle fine. We took the faucet off and cleaned it out and couldn't any clogs or anything and now we are just stumped. We have no idea what the problem could be. Any help at all would be appreciated.

First, remove the aerator from the spout and see if you get any water out of the spout.

We took the faucet off and cleaned it out
Does that mean that you disassembled the faucet and cleaned it?

Is this a single leaver faucet or a two knob faucet?

Yes we took it off and cleaned it out. I was actually washing dishes when the water just stopped working, I had noticed the water pressure was low before I started washing the dishes. We don't have a problem with any of the other faucets in the house.

Turn off water at stop valve underneath sink. Remove handle or knob. Remove hot water stem. Place cup or glass over the opening. Turn on water briefly to flush supply line. Where was the washer you replaced?

Are you speaking of the sink drain or pipes?

Could it be that we just need a new faucet? If so I still don't understand why the water won't come out

Sounds like you are talking about a drain leak. That would have no effect on the supply. Just a coincident. Check to make sure that the hot water stop valve is open.

I guess the sink drain. It's the bowl like thing right under the sink. We unscrewed it and replaced the washer and then put it right back on, but the water had already stopped by then

Under the sink, on the wall or coming up from the floor you should see two pipes connected to the faucet. There should be valves on these pipes. Make sure the hot (on the left) is open. Perhaps someone turn it off while making drain repair.

Turn hot off. If you have flexible supply line remove supply lines that go to faucet from valve.
If you have hard supply lines loosen nut around supply line, carefully pull supply line from valve by pulling it up. Try not to bend supply line too much.

Put a pan or bowl under valve. Hold you hand over valve to divert water into bowl. Open valve briefly to see if you have water coming out.

We got it fixed, we replaced the whole faucet, so I guess it was something in there. Thank you for all your help.

Wish I could have gotten to this post earlier, but for the sake of all visitors to this site I'll add my recommendation before more new faucets are purchased.
If you have a kitchen faucet with a sprayer and the sprayer provides both hot and cold water, but the spout does not, you have a problem with the diverter. On single handle and two handle faucets you will find the diverter inside the spout assembly. If the faucet is under a lifetime warranty and you contact the manufacturer, they might send you a new one to install. Be sure to ask if they can send instructions as makes and models vary. If you do not have info on the faucet, take several digital photos and go to the local big box or hardware stores and get some help matching the faucet.
