    Oil furnace koncked out last night and have a 5 months old baby
    We have oil in the tank
    Checked the bleeder and oil runs out
    Changed the air filters less than a month ago
    Tired the reset button, would start up but won't kick over

    Any advice?

    Don't want to freeze

    Call a furnace repairman. You already did the basic stuff you should check first. And you NEED the heat with a child that young.

    Thank you smoothy. I will call around and see what they would charge me.

    Hopefully not too much due to buying formula and diapers

    If it was a 5 year old it might be different (you could just bundle them up)... but you did take all the steps I would have done... and I grew up in a house with oil heat.

    Could be something as simple as a thermocouple or a clogged nozzle. But those are beyond what you can do. Best to save time at this point.
