Why are you asking this question? Do you know of a dog that has been locked up for weeks? The dog can become aggressive, die of malnutrition or infection from living in it's own feces and urine. Why?

What do you mean by "locked in a cage"? One of my dogs is a rescue and lived at the shelter for several weeks. She is TERRIFIED of being confined - I suppose you could say she was caged instead of kenneled.

What are the circumstances you are asking about?

Backyard and unscrupulous breeders often keep their dogs caged all the time - and I think everyone knows what happens to the dogs, how they suffer, their health, behavior and trust issues.

    What is your story?
