    CA tax refund needs to be included??
    Hi,
    I got a few hundred dollars of tax refund from CA state last year. I didn't claim this amount as an exemption anywhere in federal filing. Do I need to include this amount in this year's income??

    You need to show it as income only if you itemized your deductions for your 2009 federal return.
