Hi Sunny. I just got back from a 2-week job in S. California. We worked a lot of hours, but also got to enjoy ourselves. It was in the mid-80's and so pretty. I also got to see my family and some good friends.

Dahlia - what a cute picture!

Oh good JLo. At least you were able to enjoy it even though you were there for work. You travel a lot for your job it seems.

I used to travel a lot more. Now I travel enough to make it fun. Last year I was out of town about 50% of the time. Now it's more like 25%. I sure couldn't complain about this last trip. The day I left it was 24 degrees here. I landed in S. California, changed into shorts and a T-shirt, and then took a long walk on the beach. :)

When I worked at the bank I traveled a lot when I started. I hated it at first. But then I realized I loved it. The constant change was good. I actually had learned more traveling then when I was put in one place. Plus the change in people and personalities was fun.

That's what I love about my job - the change in people and always a new challenge. I usually enjoy my assignments, but when I get one that isn't so great I know it will be over soon. I also get to return to many of the projects annually, so you make little friendships as you go. It's fun to catch up with everyone.

How is your new job going now?

My new job. I was dreading that question. I quit. It was bad. In fact my husband encouraged me to quit. For six long weeks I went in there and didn't know what direction to turn. I would ask questions, do my job and then be told I did it wrong. Even though they told me how to do it. Repeatedly all day everyday. I had no one ounce of training on anything. I wasn't doing the job I was hired for at all. I tried to talk to the boss about it but he is clueless. But I kept trying. Finally it just knocked me to down far. I am a smart girl. But to be told over and over your wrong it really wears on you. Especially when they are the ones telling me how to do the work, then come out and look over my shoulder and say its wrong. I shed many tears. Finally Monday I couldn't do it any more. I left at lunch time. Which made it worse because I let myself down. I normally keep pushing until I get things but it was bad there.
On the brighter side the girl who placed me there made me feel tons better. I had a long talk with her. There was a girl hired a few weeks before me. She had also went to the job agency and complained about all the same things I had to say. So at least they know it wasn't me. I was thanful for that.
Also on the brighter side even though this is the last place my husband wants me, he was OK with me quitting and coming back to my old job. I hated coming back. But I couldn't stay in the new job. I was so excited and I wasn't even doing anything I was hired for. Had I been I may have stuck it out longer.

Well, I have read your comments about the job leading up to this so I'm not totally surprised. It's better you left before things got worse, plus your old job was still open. I hope that is going better now.

Ow... it wasn't the job it appeared to. Sorry to hear that Sunny. Got to look for another job in the meantime, so that you don't end up jobless.

Wishing you the best of luck :)

Thank you both. The worse part was making the choice to leave. That's not like me and even after I quit I cried pretty hard. He never replaced me here so I came right here and finished out the day. But I wished I would have went home. When I got here I was of course upset, it was obvious with tears running down my face. So a small amount of time went by and he called me a quitter. I couldn't believe it. Knowing how upset I was and knowing I came back to keep his store open he had all the nerve! He said it was a joke. Oh my god I wanted to slap him. Grrr... I gave him a piece of my mind as you can imagine.

Thanks for listening. I was never going to say anything because I was pretty down about it. Now I am off to lunch and heading to the gym. Time to get my little patootie on the treadmill. Talk with you in a bit. :D

That was a dumb thing to say. You gave it your best for 6 weeks, and without proper training I'm sure you were exhausted. It's tough to learn a new job, even under good circumstances.

Hey guys! Thanks for all the well wishes. Sunny, maybe quitting your job is just making room for something better! Things have a funny way of working themselves out sometimes.

Bella I am a true believer in that. Every new job I took on has always been better for me. I have never been set back. I was set back here as far as advancing in any of my skills. But he pays me super well so it actually helped us with the new house. That in itself makes it worth it.

Hey guys. I've been well taken care of today. A friend of mine came over and cooked me supper and did the dishes for me! Surprisingly I am not in too much pain. I keep expecting it to be more painful then what it is.

Tomorrow I write my entrance exam to some of the new classes I am taking. I'm nervous, but excited to get this rolling again. How is everyone else's night/day going? Any of you guys watch Jersey Shore? Sadly I'm addicted to reality t.v.

    Hey girl. You still around?
My night is going good. My boy was an angel tonight. We played crazy. Put him in bed. Now I am sitting with a drink watching TV. This only happens like 5times a year. Seriously. For some reason I go to bed super early now. For no reason. Am I old?? Gahh.

How is your ankle? How is your daughter? I wished I lived closer to you. My son would love her so. He is so mothering with younger children. Its way to cute.

Well, I went to the dentist this afternoon. I was right, I cracked the tooth straight down the middle all the way through the root. A perfect split. There was no decay just a freaky thing she said where the pressure of the bite hit a pressure point in the tooth and wham!

She is a very good dentist with all the modern equipment including a TV in each room with DirectV (watched the NFL channel), Bose head phones for relaxing music and a very good bedside manner and she has a lot of patience as I truly tested her.:rolleyes:

Even though she was great this is the most pain after an extraction I have ever had. And I have taken 4 strong Tylenol and 2 Ibuprofen and at the moment NOTHING SEEMS TO BE WORKING... DA*N IT!!:eek::eek::rolleyes:

By the way, I feel a bit stronger today with this Bronchitis thing though.

Sorry to rant... pain is tremendous... the whole side of my face.. .

Way to go Stringer, you held on until the extraction!

Unfortunately, no time to have a break... keep up the good work Stringer :)
