    my house and the property next door=need abstract
    there should be a abstract for my house that said there must always be a grassy area between my property and the house next door it was found about 25 years ago but my mother is old and can not remember where she put it =the property next door is commercial and they are parking cars under the window but there are suppose to be so many feet from the house please help

    Get a copy of the deed and put up a fence on your boundary.

    The deed should have been recorded after it was signed. Go to the deed recording office and acertain whether it was in fact recorded.

    Agreed, you have and own your property, and they own their property, If they meet the building and code then they can park cars on property they own.

    So you need to find out where the property line is, perhaps have a survey done and be sure they are no on your land.

    The original post in this thread suggests there may have been a deed restriction requiring a grass strip. I don't know if that restriction would still be enforceable after all these years, but that would be another possibility.
