My son started taking a 22 mg tablet of zinc glouconate three times a day and gradually upped it to two tabs three times a day. His skin cleared up dramatically. Of course, he was also being careful about his nutrition, but we believe the zinc helped a lot (he had tried eating differently without the zinc, but not as dramatic an improvement).

Check with your doctor or pharmacist about a maximum amount you can take per day.

Zinc can help heal your blemishes and reduce the inflammation. You should know that testosterone is one of the main promoters of acne. Intake of zinc may prevent potential hormone inbalances that can lead to outbreaks.

So it might be worth trying it you never know, and besides you can get zinc supplements over the counter at your local pharmacy.

I have also heard tea tree oil is good too x
